This time of year can be a tricky time to stay looking refreshed with the transition from Summer to Autumn- especially in Ireland! One day the sun is shining, the next you're battling through gale force winds and rain- it can really take a toll on your skin. To help protect yourself from environmental stresses we recommend using a DIY face mist. Face mists provide instant dehydration relief, anti-oxidant protection and offer a revitalised feeling.
Many water face mists act as a quick fix, once they evaporate they leave your skin feeling tight, this is down to the water disrupting the skins moisture levels. Nothing works better at providing long term hydration than plant extracts and essential oils- our favorites! When you make your own you get all the benefits of your favorite ingredients.

This is the one we tried at home as we had our bottle of detox to hand. Not only does it smell amazing but the lemongrass and juniper berry are perfect for spritzing on skin or hair. Lemon grass tones and soothes. It is refreshing, stimulating and active. Juniper berry is an oily skin tonic but it is also great for hair loss. It is clearing, restorative and reviving which is why it is known as the oil of protection.
Which face mist is your favorite? Would you recommend using different oils or did you substitute any of the ingredients listed above? Did you find this helpful?
