If you have any of the Yogandha products you might have noticed that each one of them have a Mantra written on the box as well as on the Yogandha Body Oil bottles.
These specific Mantras were used to create and inspire each one of the aromatic blends. Almost like an affirmation or intention for the product. And that is one way you can think of Mantras: A way to invoke a certain awareness.
This is a huge topic so we will just touch the surface on how we can use Mantra in daily life and a brief introduction to what they are.
The Mantras that inspired the aromatic blends from Yogandha are in Sanskrit. The ancient language originating in India. Mantras from spiritual texts and oral traditions from India are still used by householders in their spiritual practices as well as by the priests in temples for Pujas, or ceremonies.
The meaning of each and any Mantra can be very complex and deep. They are multilayered and too intricate for today’s blog post. The Mantras used for Yogandha are part of an even longer beautiful Mantra.
The ancient Sanskrit Mantras have crossed borders and traditions and are now recited by people across the world and from many different cultures.
But Mantras may also have other origins, derive from different countries and be recited in another language.
Each sound of any Mantra has a specific vibration or purpose. The Mantra itself may have a very special meaning and used to invoke a certain state of awareness or energy.
There are different ways you can use a Mantra.
These are just two ways you can use Mantra.
Words and intentions are powerful. That’s one of the reasons we have been specific when we used the chosen Mantras for Yogandha. The herbs and essential oils are all there to underline the meaning of the Mantra.
In our last blog post, we mentioned the Mantra Apanam Dhehi. This was translated as “may the downward moving energy be nourished”. It’s the Mantra associated with Yogandha Ground Rollerball. So both the Mantra and the essential oil blend have the intention to support you get grounded and nourished.
When you look at each one of Yogandha’s products you will discover this connection between the name of the blend, the herbs used and the Mantra.
We invite you to use the Mantra when applying the oils. Creating a ritual of aroma and intention. So you may say the words in Sanskrit but knowing the meaning you are also affirming “may the downward moving energy be nourished”. It’s like an affirmation. And it’s powerful.
