Rosemary
Roman students used to study with garlands of rosemary around their head – it is known to stimulate mental clarity and assist memory. Because it is so stimulating, it is best used early in the day as it could disturb sleep. It has, since antiquity been considered to offer some form of protection. Sprigs of the herb were burnt in medieval Europe to drive away bad energy and protect from infectious illness. It greatly boosts the immune system.
