Stress and Sleep Management

Stress affects every part of our lives – our relationships, our digestion, our sleep. Today 90% of illnesses are stress related.

Since stress is a primal reaction (fight or flight), the answer is to be found only in the primal. Smell is the only sense that has a direct connection with the primal brain. It has that pharmacological effect on the brain. We instinctively use ritual to teach babies to sleep.  We can recalibrate our own sleep patterns in the same way.

bed Apply yogandha ground rollerball an hour before bed. Mentally ‘unplug’ as you do so. Try to actually unplug too – laptop closed, phone into flight mode. Apply yogandha relax body oil just before bed – either all over, or as a face oil (Frankincense and Lavender have incredible cellular regeneration properties). Feel the sleep inducing properties of the herbs. You can also pour yogandha relax (or any of the body oils) into your bath, steam inhalation, foot bath or oil burner. Allow your breath to slow.
